The Team at thecoolredroom wish you a COOL Christmas with tons of warmth in your heart over the Holiday Season.  Family, Friends and the gift of giving are what truly warm our hearts at this time of year.
Every day in our wonderful Hair Space we share this with our amazing clientelle.   At the end of the day, I cannot help but  feel truly fortunate to be a Hairstylist.   To have the ability to make others feel good by doing up great hair for them, and to lift their spirits by doing so, is to Myself, and my Teamates, so fulfilling.
There are so many ways at this time of year to give to others, and it is infectious once you start!  Just do it, whatever you can to help others in need, and feel the joy it brings to your spirit.  Top that off with a great look, and there is no doubt, Santa will not forget you on Christmas Day!

Yes, more great things that come in threes!
We have indeed returned from our New York Journey, and feeling full inside with great stuff!  We were honored to be inpired, educated and "share the same room" with the biggest talent in our industry.
A wonderful Brunch to meet everyone, followed by a fabulous evening party at the Tribeca Grand Hotel for day one.
Day Two was demonstrations, presentations of current looks, procedures and challenges that the amazing team  Woodley & Bunny put together for us.  It is one thing for those watching to walk away feeling speechless of what they just shared, but to have those presenting together feeling the same "Wow" factor just takes that energy to a whole new level!  Extremely Cool. 
Day 3 was hands-on workshops that really were to be sure that we recieved the techniques that we wanted to try from the previous education.  A chance to approach things differently, "Sacha Style" since I was in Sacha"s class.  Step out of the box so to speak.
We are all so pleased and eager to share this with our clients, and hope to see you soon.

     So Here I am Sunday morning, just had brunch, and when I went to put my dishes away, I dropped my fork on the floor, and instantly said "Company" I don't want company right now!  And no word of a lie the doorbell rings 2 seconds later! Seriously, too bizarre!
     Here are 3  young men(around 11 is my guess) and they are asking me if I would like them to rake my front lawn for $15.  I could not say no  even for an instant.
    Behind the chair as a Hairstylist, on a daily basis I hear"What's wrong with kids today?" or tragic stories about kids, teens etc.  Whether it is something in the media that just happened, or to a friend of a client, or their own  kids it takes it's toll, as I am a Mother myself of two wonderful young men.
     What these guys did, is restore my faith that when I am asked "What's wrong with kid"s today" now I will say "ablsolutely nothing, they are great!", and when they arrive in three (always a good number) they are even better.
     I will share this happenance, and turn that negativity in which we seem to focus on in today"s world, and flip it to a positive.
    Just so you can picture it, they allowed me to take a photo of them.

The Team at thecoolredroom are  finally off to New York!
With much anticipation, we are thrilled to be attending one of the most advanced
Education Events in our Industry.
This three day journey offers us an education program that will continue throughout the year, and we congratulate Kathy Ewen for stepping up as our choice of a "Sambandsman", our liason with Sachajuan Haircare in the future.
We will receive a full day of demonstration from Sacha Mitic, the Whittemore Team, Erin Anderson, as well as many other Top Stylists in New York, whom all are part of Fashion Week.  As Leading 'Pioneers', they continually educate and inspire others with the vision, technicality, and creativity behind today's Hairstyles.
We will then have the pleasure of "Hands-On" workshops with them to perfect these ideas, and bring that back to thecoolredroom Hair Space, to offer the most current looks  for  your beautiful hair!
To network with Stylists from Scandinavian Countries and beyond, is an opportunity that will stimulate, educate, and excite all of our skills, not to mention be very fun!
We are ecstatic to do so, and as we all know...
New York is an education in itself.

We, at thecoolredroom Hair Space will be attending a three day seminar with Sachajuan in New York City, Brooklyn to be exact,  in October.  The team from Sachajuan will be coming from Stockholm Sweden to share their techniques  and inspire us on the latest fashion for 2012.  Attending as a Team, we will share and educate our Clients upon our return, just in time to adjust to a new season.  It would be a great idea to keep this in mind for scheduling appointments, pre-booking always recommended. 
We are very excited to share this, and anticipating such a great opportunity certainly has us full of enthusiasm  for what we do.

Upcoming Education for the coolredroom Hair Space is an essential part of our function.  We thrive on learning new technique, and sharing that growth within the Team.  We are now anticipating an amazing 3 day Educational Event in New York, where we will spend time with the Artistic Team from Sachajuan, who will be coming from Stockholm, Sweden.  We will have the opportunity to spend time listening, observing, and participate in Hands-On Advanced Workshops throughout the event.  Since we already know that Fashion from Europe dictates the Fashion in Hair, the advanced vision and techniques are sure to put us at the top of our game.  This also empowers us to keep our Client's on top of their look, which is where they love to be.  Current, knowledgable, and looking Fabulous!
We will keep you posted, in the meantime, enjoy this marvelous summer.

Wow, as June the 8th quickly approaches we are thrilled to acknowledge a very busy, successful year has gone by!  First and foremost we realise that we could not be where we are today without the great
Clientelle we have retained and gained!  What a great Neighbourhood of Centretown!

As Carly Heney  and Kathy Ewen  have been volunteering their services with the group at Operation Come Home giving great new looks to the young adults  heading back into the workplace, they have experienced the true compassion behind what we do, and have received so much in return from their visits.  Bravo Ladies!!
